Britten Thematic Catalogue

Britten uses only one line (slightly amended) from Rose Fyleman's poem Fairies. The original poem contains the line 'The rabbits stand about and hold the lights' which Britten has, more or less, incorporated. The rest of the text appears to be of his own invention.
