This piece shares musical material with the orchestral piece, The Christmas symphony (Dec 1923). 'Tell England' is longer than 'The Christmas symphony' but the handwriting suggests it was written earlier than the orchestral piece. The title 'Tell England' may have come from Ernest Raymond's book of the same name, which was published in 1922.
